Pup #1: LUNA

Birth Weight: 4.5 ounces

Luna made her grand debut with a stunning all-white coat, perfectly complemented by adorable brown markings around her ears and left eye.

Meet Luna – 8 Weeks of Pure Adorableness!

Her Unique Look:

Luna is a strikingly beautiful pup with a mostly white coat accented by light and dark tan markings. These distinctive markings decorate her ears, partially cover her right eye, and fully wrap around her left eye. To add to her charm, three adorable little spots are just starting to appear on her back!

A Personality That Shines:

Even at just 8 weeks old, Luna’s playful and spirited nature is impossible to miss. She loves romping around with her mom, dad, siblings, and her adopted brother, Chico. While she’s not the most affectionate cuddler just yet, she’ll happily snuggle up when she’s feeling sleepy or completely relaxed.

Big Milestones in a Little Package:

Luna is a quick learner! She mastered using pee pads by just three weeks old—an impressive feat for such a young pup. She’s already had her nails trimmed twice, and during her second session, we made it a positive experience by rewarding her with treats. Luna recently had her first bath, too, and handled it like a pro.

When it comes to eating, Luna transitioned to kibble at 5 weeks and has since discovered her love for wet food. She’s also a fan of tasty treats like dehydrated chicken and sardines, which have quickly become some of her favorites.

Early Training and Socialization:

While formal training starts next week, Luna is already getting a head start. We’ve been working on desensitization and introducing her to new experiences. To familiarize her with water, we’ve used a gentle hose to mimic rain and introduced her to a puppy pool. At first, we helped her explore the pool (both with and without water), but now Luna and her siblings happily climb in on their own!

We’re also focusing on making handling and vet visits stress-free for her future owner. I’ve been gently playing with her ears, paws, and tail, as well as checking her teeth regularly. To help her adjust to sudden disruptions, I occasionally wake her from naps to get her accustomed to being startled or handled unexpectedly.

Luna’s Bright Future:

Luna’s story is just beginning, and she’s already showing signs of being a curious, energetic, and lovable companion. We’re so excited to see how she continues to grow, learn, and win hearts along the way!

Update on Luna

Before moving to her new home, Luna was already well-trained to use pee pads and go potty outside. She even had a gentle way of letting you know she needed a bathroom break by softly crying to get your attention.

Luna's diet consisted of both kibble and wet food. She would graze on kibble throughout the day but approached her wet food with undeniable enthusiasm.

When it came to treats, Luna had a refined palate. She loved dehydrated chicken, beef, sardines, and even goat milk cheese sticks. She was also quick to understand commands like "No" when she needed gentle correction and "Sit" when prompted.

Luna had an irresistible love for people and thrived on human attention. If you were relaxing on the couch, she’d come over, sit in front of you, and give a soft cry as if politely asking to be picked up.

She responded warmly to praise, especially when hearing "Good girl," and would eagerly look for a treat as her reward. Luna was incredibly perceptive—she recognized the sound of a treat bag being opened, the jingle of car keys, and could sense when someone was about to leave.

Miss Luna has now found her forever family.

She officially joined her new home on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024.

Since then, she has been enjoying car rides and accompanying her family on shopping trips. She’s truly living her best life!

In fact, Mia and I recently bumped into Luna and her new family at a store.

I couldn’t resist stopping to say hello.

Mia was overjoyed to see her, while Luna wiggled with pure excitement.

I could tell she remembered me—her reaction made it clear she instantly recognized her mama.

**UPDATE**

Miss Luna has been given a beautiful new name by her family!

She’s now called Hazel.

I absolutely adore the name—it fits her perfectly! ❤️

Hazel is completely in love with her bed...

Wrapped up snug and cozy, she drifts off into a serene, peaceful slumber.

Hazel has seamlessly become a part of her new family, as if she’s always belonged there.

True to her Jack Russell roots, she’s sharp, spirited, and brimming with personality—never one to hold back when it comes to sharing her thoughts!

Here she is, snuggled up in her blanket, radiating pure peace and contentment.

Say hello to little Miss Haze, our sweet and spirited 14-week-old mischief-maker! It seems she’s been caught in the act, proudly parading a "stolen" slipper. Oh, Haze—if only puppies came pre-programmed to stick to their own toys 🧸—if only! 😂

Life would certainly be easier, wouldn’t it? But much like toddlers, these playful pups need a bit of guidance and plenty of patience to figure things out. 🐾 (For the record, this slipper is actually hers!)
