Meet Lexi, our adorable 8-week-old puppy!

About Lexi:

Lexi is a stunning little bundle of joy with a mostly white coat accented by soft tan markings. Her tan ears are perfectly matched, with the color extending to fully cover her left eye, while her right side features a tan patch around her eye and part of her face. Adding to her uniqueness, she has a charming spot near the base of her tail and is developing a small black marking on her back, near her right side. She’s truly one of a kind!

Personality:

Despite her young age, Lexi already has a big personality. She’s an endearing mix of feisty, sweet, and laid-back. While she’s not the biggest fan of cuddling, she occasionally surprises us with moments of snuggly affection. Lexi absolutely loves human interaction and enjoys playtime with her sisters, parents, and her adopted brother, Chico. When she’s in the mood to play, she’s a whirlwind of energy, zipping around with excitement and enthusiasm.

Milestones:

Lexi has been a quick learner from the start! By just three weeks old, she was already using a pee pad. She’s had her nails clipped twice, and during her second session, she was old enough to earn some tasty treats as a reward. Lexi has even had her first bath, handling it like a pro.

Her food journey has been just as impressive. She began eating kibble at five weeks old and has since discovered the joy of wet food, which she absolutely adores. She’s also tried dehydrated chicken and sardines—two of her new favorite treats!

What’s Next for Lexi:

Training officially starts next week, but we’ve already begun laying the groundwork. To help Lexi get comfortable with water, I’ve been using a hose to mimic rainy conditions, and she and her siblings now happily jump in and out of their puppy pool—whether it’s filled with water or not! This early exposure is helping her build confidence and adaptability.

To prepare her for future grooming and vet visits, I regularly handle her ears, paws, tail, and teeth to desensitize her to touch. I also gently wake her up during naps to help her adjust to unexpected interruptions. These little exercises are all about setting Lexi up to become a well-rounded and confident pup.

Lexi is off to an incredible start, and I can’t wait to see her continue to grow, learn, and thrive as training progresses!

Lexi is Off to her New Family.

On June 13th, 2024, little Lexi found her forever home and began an exciting new chapter in her life!

She’s now part of a loving family with two young boys who have already fallen head over heels for her.

Wasting no time, Lexi explored her new backyard, playing with boundless energy until she finally wore herself out. Later, she cozied up on the sofa with her favorite blanket and toy for some well-earned snuggles.

Her first night in her new home was a smooth transition, with no issues at all. Meanwhile, back at her old place, her friends Mia, the pups, and even her older sister Ava barely seemed to notice her absence.

Lexi, Mia, and Ava were always a joy to be around—sweet, calm, and laid-back, except when they were happily chasing each other through the yard.

When Lexi’s new family came to take her home, she immediately bonded with the boys, following them everywhere. It was clear that the saying is true: “THE DOG PICKS YOU.”

Stay tuned for more updates on her adventure!

Exciting news! Little Lexi now has a new name: Millie! Her family chose it, and it suits her perfectly.

Millie is thriving in her new home. By her second night, bedtime had already become a breeze! The boys adore her and haven’t stopped showering her with love and attention since she arrived.

UPDATE: Millie had her first visit to the vet! She’s received her initial shots, deworming treatment, and preventative care for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She’s off to a fantastic start in her new life!

It’s truly heartwarming to see Millie thriving with her new family. Helping them find the missing piece to complete their home has been such a rewarding experience.
